Solid Tips For Anyone Looking To Improve Their Fashion

You would have to be blind to not realize the impact fashion has on our lives. Not only does it impact your self-esteem, it can also alter the perceptions others have about you. This article gives fantastic info that anyone can use in their own fashion arsenal.

Do not buy clothing just because it is on sale. If it does not flatter your figure or fit your style, it’s not worth it no matter how great a deal it is. It might end up wasting space in your closet.

Putting your hair into a simple ponytail or loose bun can instantly tidy your appearance and provide relief on a sweltering day. Long hair can get in your way on a busy day. So bring it up so that you don’t have to worry about it getting in the way of trying to focus throughout each day.

TIP! Buy a lot of basics. Invest in pieces that work well together and will never go out of style.

Black and white is a classic combination that is popular again this season. This year many black and white outfits are on the runway. To incorporate this color combination into your wardrobe, try pairing black pants with a white shirt. Black and white separates offer endless possibilities.

Try a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner if you struggle with frizz. This gives your hair cuticles a protective layer and seals it off from excess moisture. Avoid anything that volumizes; that includes wheat and rice.

Make sure you clean your closet on a regular basis. While you might think that having a lot of clothes gives you a ton of options, this really is not the case. A cramped, overflowing closet makes it more difficult to choose outfits. Sift through your wardrobe, tossing any items that don’t fit well or that you haven’t worn in a year or more. It’s better to have a few fashionable options than a closet full of things you will never wear.

TIP! Don’t seek perfection, as far as fashion goes. Nothing in the world is perfect.

If you are overweight, never wear clothes that have a horizontal stripe pattern. Wearing stripes can create the illusion that you are even wider than you actually are. Vertical or linear patterns on the other hand play down width and emphasize height.

Are you in the market for a new pair of jeans? In today’s market there are many styles and fits in the jean aisle at any given store. You may feel overwhelmed. When you go for something traditional, such as a pair with a straight-legged cut, you’ll never go wrong. You will get a lot of wear out of them, and it should flatter your body type.

Regardless of what you wear, there is always a way to look more fashionable. Fashion is more than the clothing you wear – it is the way you feel! Stay in fashion by being comfortable with who you are.

TIP! Make sure you try bringing neutral colors on your next trip so you can mix up your outfits on the daily. You can put together several different outfits with only a few pieces if you keep the color palette neutral.

Check Out This Great Fashion Advice From The Experts!

Fashion knowledge includes choosing styles that make you comfortable. There are many fashion resources out there, and you must find the proper information so that you can be comfortable with your own style. Start defining your fashion today by using some of the tips you find below.

Add a belt to finish off your look. You can find belts in many different designs and colors, so you can pick the belt that best suits you. Add a neon-colored belt to turn skinny jeans into a trendy outfit or a simple black belt for unquestionable sophistication.

Before you spend money on extras, make sure you have the essentials covered. Buy pieces that look great and won’t ever be out of style. Items like a basic black skirt will be fashionable for years to come, and can be updated with tops that are currently in the fashion eye.

TIP! When you want to wear black jeans to a more formal event, heels and a dressy blouse can make the outfit appropriate. Colored jeans are only a good idea if you are going for a look that is more casual.

Remember that fashion is fluid, and keep your eyes open for new trends. Change is constant when it comes to style, and magazines are a great way to follow this. These businesses operate well by staying abreast of the trends, and reporting them to the public. Don’t underestimate their usefulness.

You shouldn’t have too many items in your makeup bag. It is best to change the colors seasonally, rather than keep everything in it at all times. Consider daily and nightly applications. Cosmetics do go bad after a while, like most other products. In addition, germ growth can occur if the product sits a while.

Packing for travel means choosing various neutral shades than can make matching combinations. You never have to worry about colors clashing, and you can create multiple outfits with just a few pieces. To pull your fashion look together, add color accents with belts, scarves and shoes.

TIP! Keep your makeup kit simple. Keep your makeup within this season’s palette.

As you can see, fashion is not just how you look. It is also how you feel about yourself. You need to keep reading to ensure you’re up-to-date on what’s stylish today. Keep the advice from this article in mind when you want to feel more stylish.

Become Fashionable By Using These Helpful Tips

Fashion does not have to be a hard thing to get a hold on. Just because an item is listed somewhere as hot or trendy doesn’t automatically make it right for you. The thing about fashion is that it’s personal for everyone. If you want some good tips to help you mold your personal fashion sense, continue to read this article.

Stay aware of the current trends in fashion. You can watch the fashion magazines, and their websites, to know what the latest craze is. These resources are generally the first to report evolving trends and changing styles, making them great places to find inspiration.

Sometimes, you can pair a patterned skirt with a t-shirt for a wonderful look. The tops should not be very bright or patterned; you don’t want it to clash with your skirt.

TIP! Clean your closet out. You might think having more clothes gives you more options in outfits, but the opposite is actually true.

Often, a new jacket has loose stitches somewhere around the vents or shoulder parts. These threads will only hurt your appearance, so you should get rid of them immediately. Just get some scissors and cut them to remove them. That’s a simple style tip for you.

Be cautious where sizing is concerned. Don’t purchase something that you haven’t tried on. Sizes have no bearing on measurements any more. They vary between brands. If you have to buy online, look at their sizing chart. Make sure that the web site you are ordering from has a good return policy.

Use every ounce of your beauty products. For tubed products, use a toothpaste tube squeezer to get every last drop. Turn a bottle upside down so you are sure to gather the final dabs of your products. You can also take the the tops off when it reaches the end. You’ll be surprised at how much money you save.

TIP! Fashion magazines can help you stay current regarding today’s trends. Magazines are a great resource for information and give you a handy place to target the fashion ideas you are interested in.

Coloring your hair can add a little pop to your outfit. However, you should maintain your healthy hair so the color does not fade. A good treatment for conditioning is necessary to prevent damage to your hair.

Pare down the number of items you have in your makeup case. Select the products you like in a few seasonally appropriate colors. Consider your needs for day and evening applications. Makeup, like many other products, can go bad once open. It can also allow germs to grow if you open it.

You should now have a better understanding of what to do when thinking about fashion. It can seem a little overwhelming when you have a society setting constant trends. It’s similar to the game called cat and mouse. However, if you keep this advice in mind, you will be well on your way to finding your fashion muse.

TIP! Don’t feel down if someone comments on the way you are dressing. Dressing like a hollywood star is just not necessary to fashion style.

Helpful Wedding Tips For Your Personal Benefit

Regardless of whether or not the wedding you’re planning is your own or for someone else, you’re bound to find out that the ordeal is complex and intricate. To help you make confident decisions as you confront the many options, here are a selection of tips and suggestions for creating a beautiful and memorable occasion.

You don’t need a big, expensive, flashy wedding cake. Talk to your local bakery owner about something smaller, or pre-cut into individual portions. For example, cupcakes can be made to be gluten-free, topped with fruit, or include artificial sweeteners.

A wedding day often seems like a stressful time, so try to plan the wedding for a bit later. This will ensure that you don’t have to wake up in the AM hours to get everything done. Do something you do to relax before your wedding.

TIP! If you are pregnant and are shopping for your wedding dress, try to be aware of the fact that you are pregnant. It may sound obvious, but try to find a dress that still fits, even as you grow larger around the middle.

Silk flowers can be a different variety of flowers you could choose for your wedding. This not only saves you money, but it also ensures that there isn’t a given time when you need to start collecting these flowers and they will stay fresh forever.

You can have a special relative or friend become ordained online so that they can perform your wedding vows. This can be a wonderful way to honor someone special in your life, and to make them an important part of your big day. Make sure to check with the local officials first to see if it’s legal in the area.

If you plan to give a speech at a wedding, write out and practice what you will say beforehand. If you don’t bother to prepare, or your preparations fall short, you’ll find that your speech could end up being a disaster.

TIP! It can be a friend or a family member, they just need to help you carry your gear wherever you go. Your assistant can help you corral the wedding party for great photographs.

Choose group activities to fill your special day with fun. You do not want all of your guests simply biding their time until the wedding is complete. Organize contests, games or even sports. When your guests enjoy themselves and socialize with everyone else at the event, they are more likely to have fond memories of your wedding.

Strive to incorporate personal elements in your wedding, things that accurately reflect you and your future spouse. Find a theme or topic that reflects your time as a couple.

Wedding dresses are one of the most expensive things to be purchased when planning a wedding. When you are shopping, try getting a dress that might not be traditionally thought of as one made for a wedding. A bridesmaid dress might strike your fancy as an option, and it would be cheaper than a dress designated for the bride. Even with some alterations to complete your vision for the dress, it could be less expensive in the end.

TIP! Make certain to send an online itinerary to your guests with the events, so they know how they should schedule their day and which part they are looking to attend. For family members and members of the bridal party, give them information about the rehearsal dinner, as well.

Knowing some basic techniques for planning a wedding should help you create a memorable event. Applying these tips can make your wedding planning hassle free, and give your guests, and yourself, an experience you will treasure forever.

Helping You Get Better With Fashion Using Great Tips

Everyone wants to look marvelous no matter what age they may be. You can find a partner or even land a job when you look good. Some fashion tips are tried and true, but new ones are always emerging. To learn handy hints, keep reading.

There are some things all women ought to have in their wardrobe. For starters, you should have two pairs of dark-colored dress slacks at the very least. You should also have a pair of hemmed jeans to wear with your heels, and also a pair that are for sneakers. For a wide variety of special events, the perfect little black dress is a must.

Sheer clothing can be sexy, but it is important that it is not too sheer. Something too sheer can cause you to look trashy.

TIP! Refrain from wearing clothing that is tight if you are slender. Also, do not put anything on that is too small for you; it will make you look a little unusual.

Keep your eye on fashion articles as the season changes. You can remain in the loop by subscribing to a few fun fashion magazines. They’re the best way to stay ahead of the game.

Your hairstyle says a lot about you. Your hair should be an extension of you and your personality. For example, if you are woman climbing the corporate ladder, opt for a classic style such as a shoulder-length bob. If, however, you are an on-the-go mom, opt for a style that you can wash and go.

Sometimes, the vents on your newly-purchased jacket are held together with some loose stitches. You need to remove these threads because they’re not fashionable. Use a pair of fabric scissors to easily snip these loose threads. Your style can look great with this simple tip.

TIP! For boots and sandals, wedged heels are hot. Most women love this heel type, as it lengthens and slims the overall appearance of their bodies.

Drink plenty of pure filtered water every day to improve dry cracked nails and cuticles. It’s true; most people’s nails and cuticles are a mess because their bodies are dehydrated. This is very important when it is cold and dry outside. Also, make sure that you moisturize your nails daily to maintain health. You can also apply it to your hands, and wear gloves over them while you sleep.

When you look at your calendar, your attention probably gravitates to a special occasion you are going to dress up for. It might be a prom, a wedding or a date. In order to have a great sense of confidence and look great, remember the suggestions from this piece. It is easy to look fashionable.

Celebrity Hackers Call it Quits

Posted Saturday March 16, 2013 6:30 PM GMT

After a week of revealing the personal financial directions of celebrities, the hackers have called it quits.

On Saturday (March 16) the group posted a message on their website, saying, “Hello everyone, this is our final message. Behind this jolly visage of rainbows and top hats, we are people. People with a preference for music, a preference for food; we have varying taste in clothes and television, we are just like you. Even Hitler and Osama Bin Laden had these unique variations and style, and isn’t that interesting to know?”

The hackers, who have released info on Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian, and Ashton Kutcher, among others continued, “We have enjoyed every minute of the past twelve days of providing entertainment and laughs to all of you, sadly it’s time to say bon voyage – we hope – inspiration, fear, denial, happiness, approval, disapproval, mockery, embarrassment, thoughtfulness, jealousy, hate, even love.”

The FBI has been trying to figure out who is behind the postings, however no replies have been found yet.

The country pair bundled up in the cold UK weather as their daughter's Maggie, Gracie and Audrey enjoyed the surroundings.

In a recent interview with Great American Country, talked about performing with his wife and said, "I don't get to sing with my wife that much. Only when we tour together and a handful of charity events have we ever been on stage together and really sang together. So, it always sort of sets me aback a bit to be up there and to hear her sing. Because she's truly one of the greatest singers I've ever heard."

"When so much soul comes out of her and to be on stage with her and to see her just sort of light the place up when she opens her mouth and sings is something that I catch myself having to really pay attention to what I'm doing 'cause I get lost from listening to her," Tim added.

"It certainly makes me a better singer 'cause you can't just go up and phone it in with her because she won't allow that with her voice. You have to actually be on top of your game."

Gwyneth Paltrow Talks Stroke Scare

Posted Tuesday March 12, 2013 4:05 PM GMT

She's always been a big proponent of healthy living, so when Gwyneth Paltrow thought she was having a stroke she was understandably freaked out.

The "Sliding Doors" dame experienced the scare while lunching with some friends at her home in London, England back in 2011.

Gwyneth shared, “I had just served lunch in the garden at home… I had a vague feeling that I was going to faint, and I wasn’t forming thoughts correctly…"

“I got a searing pain in my head, I couldn’t speak, and I felt as if I couldn’t breathe. I thought I was having a stroke.”

Thankfully, Paltrow wasn't having a stroke, rather her doctor told her she was "severely anaemic" and "Vitamin D deficient." Since the incident, Gwyn has changed her diet and tried to relax a bit more.

Some Tips On Having The Wedding Of Your Dreams

A wedding should be magical, but it ends up being stressful in most cases. You must plan items like the venue, cake, flowers, and more, which can be incredibly daunting. The article below will provide you with advice to make the whole wedding process less stressful.

If you have a destination wedding, offer a basket full of goodies delivered to guests in their rooms. Include items that will be useful, like a tourist map, disposable camera, sunglasses, a hat, and pamphlets from fun places to visit in the area. Providing a restaurant guide will fill your guests in on all of the best places to eat in the area.

If one of your friends or relatives becomes ordained over the Internet, he or she can preside over your wedding ceremony. Your ceremony will be less formal, and you will save money. Before finalizing your plans though, check local regulations to make sure that this will be legitimate in your area.

TIP! Don’t be fearful about letting other people help out with segments of planning your wedding. Weddings are very emotional, so you may desire a larger role in its planning.

Credit Card

Before you start making purchases for your wedding, obtain a rewards-based credit card to use for the services. Since weddings can be very expensive, having a credit card that gives you miles or other great deals is essential. You’ll be swimming in rewards in no time if the card is the main source of payment.

The wedding pictures are amongst the most important wedding mementos. Be certain to hire the best photographer you can to get a clear and touching record of your special day.

TIP! One way this is done is by offering a menu consisting of popular ethnic dishes. Add an unusual twist with ethnic fare and edible wedding favors.

Consider including group activities within your wedding day. Instead of your guests simply waiting for you to come down the aisle, plan a contest or a game for your guests to partake in while waiting for the wedding to begin. You can plan any number of fun games, from wedding couple trivia to musical chairs. Make your wedding a participatory event for all, and it will be both fun and memorable for everyone.

For a high-impact look that won’t drain your budget, consider renting diamonds for your big day. This can help you to look more stunning while not breaking the bank so you can stick to the budget you have created.

Personalize your wedding by including unique touches that express the essence and interests of you and your new spouse. Pick out a theme that reflects your time together.

TIP! Be sure to inform the caterer that your reception will be outside. Certain foods do not do well in extremely warm temperatures; others are not heavy enough to withstand the wind.

Instead of going out and buying an engagement ring, try something different. Perhaps using rings that were continually passed down through the generations of either family. This piece of jewelery can be a keepsake that can show you’ve become part of a new family and will also be wearing a beautiful piece of jewelery.

Most women want their wedding to be truly special. The planning can be overwhelming though. Hopefully, this article has shed some light on the planning process and you can plan the wedding of your dreams.

Wedding Advice And Ideas For Your Big Day

When two people are united in holy matrimony, it truly is a beautiful thing. In addition to the romance of the occasion, the ruffles and flourishes of a wedding often make it a beautiful, visual event. Be certain you plan your wedding well, so there will be no surprises on the day of this special event. The ideas in this article will help you plan for that big day.

To look sharp as the groom, ensure you have a well-fitting tuxedo. Show your favorite tuxedo choices to your close friends and family, so that you can get some objective opinions before settling on a tuxedo. There may be photographs taken, so look your best at your wedding. This will be an event to remember!

If your wedding is held outside, make sure you have another plan for bad weather. Book a location that also has a inside building or rent some tents. Another thing you can do is install planks, so guests don’t get their shoes muddy.

TIP! If you are looking to dazzle your guests but cannot afford a hit to the wallet, consider renting diamond jewelry. Renting earrings or a glamorous necklace can complete your look but will not leave your pockets empty.

Silk flowers offer great alternative for many of the flowers that you would include in your wedding anyways. This not only saves you money, but it also ensures that there isn’t a given time when you need to start collecting these flowers and they will stay fresh forever.

Once you have figured out the design for your wedding, write it down, and then shop accordingly. When searching for services offering your design, narrow them down according to price and quality of service.

Choosing your spouse is obviously the biggest decision you will make. Do not rush this life altering lifelong decision. Think about this person and what things will drive you crazy, along with what you can’t live without.

TIP! Personalize your wedding by including unique touches that express the essence and interests of you and your new spouse. A theme should be selected that matches the time that you’ve had together.

Be sure that those assisting you have made all of their preparations well in advance of helping you with yours. Right before the ceremony, you need to be the focus. If your helpers are worrying about their own preparations, they will neglect yours.

Spend quite a bit of time writing your vows so that they include all the things that are important to your union with your spouse. Understand that marriage is a very strong commitment that requires the both of you to make sacrifices. Let your partner know how much you adore them and that you really do want to spend forever with them.

Try to find a way to relax if you can find some time in your schedule in the morning before your wedding. One option you might consider is to schedule a 30-minute massage, so you are relaxed and feel the best you can on your big day.

TIP! Midday is the best time to have wedding receptions. During the day, you will see that people are less likely to drink, which can noticeably reduce your costs.

For help with your wedding, you can find local vendors on Craigslist. Prior to giving them a dime, meet them personally, but have your groom along for safety.

Weddings do tend to show people’s best qualities, but it can also stress you out to the point where people see the worst. By using the tips that you have learned from this article, you can avoid a wedding disaster.

There are a million things to take care of from flowers, to the cake, the gown and more. Follow the advice in this article to make your wedding planning process more manageable, and eliminate your unnecessary stress.

It is important to get high quality wedding photos so that you can truly cherish them throughout your life and hand them down to your descendants. Therefore, it is very important to hire the best professional you can afford.

Relatives are sure to lay on the peer pressure with suggestions, ideas and especially family traditions, but remember that your wedding day belongs to you and no one else. Thank them for any suggestions and kindly decline their ideas with an explanation that it is your turn to make these decisions. That way, you could look back at the day of your wedding without any regrets.

TIP! If the bride’s wedding experience doesn’t live up to her expectations, expect to have an unhappy bride. She will not be happy if she must do the planning or there is something wrong.

If dinner isn’t being served at your reception, you should consider renting comfortable furniture instead of having tables for everyone to sit at. You can witness far more social interaction among your guests if they are seated in chaises, lounges and maybe even comfortable sectionals. Comfortable and inviting chairs allow your guests to feel welcome and relaxed, which creates a nice atmosphere at your wedding.

Wedding Invitations

Once you have decided on a date and a general theme, the next step is to choose wedding invitations that reflect the wedding theme. Wedding invitations traditionally incorporate your wedding colors and hint to your guests as to the theme. Consider every option available when making your final selection for wedding invites.

TIP! Too many flower arrangements on the guest tables at your reception are usually an interference and an extra unnecessary expense. The majority of the time, these flowers are in the guests’ way.

A fairy tale wedding day is a significant part of most every little girl’s dreams. There are too many things that need to be planned, making even the thought of having one overwhelming. Have The Wedding Of Your Dreams With These Simple Tips

As for relationships, the engagement is often the most romantic moment. However, actually planning the wedding can sometimes be far from romantic and often, it can be downright stressful. This article is packed with ideas and inspiration for anyone who wants to plan a wedding that will capture the true romance and love of a relationship.

Wedding Dress

Wedding gowns can be pricey. When looking for a dress, consider dresses that aren’t necessarily in the wedding dress category. A bridesmaid dress may fit the bill and be much cheaper than a wedding dress. Even with some alterations to complete your vision for the dress, it could be less expensive in the end.

TIP! Make sure that you carefully consider what to include in your vows, as they will be something that your future spouse remembers forever. Marriage is supposed to mean the rest of your life, including both ups and downs.

Consider what the weather may be like on your wedding day. An outdoor wedding may not be the best choice for a hot, humid day, since many of those you invite may not stay long. On the same note, winter weddings might chill your guests to the point of leaving early too. Bring fans or heaters to your wedding so that you can adjust the temperature in the room if necessary.

Remember that you’ll be in a different environment than you’re used to–you might not be able to find your favorite flowers if your wedding destination’s climate is very different than the climate in your home state. You should get in touch with professionals who work near your wedding’s location to learn about which flowers can be easily obtained.

In order to make the wedding go smoothly, make sure the bride is satisfied with every aspect of the wedding. Stressing out over poorly-organized details or sub-par arrangements will leave her frazzled and exhausted. If you run everything by your bride she will have a much happier wedding day.

TIP! If children are attending, make sure they are dressed comfortably. Use soft, loose fitting fabrics.

For destination weddings, a fantastic gift to give your guests is a basket full of goodies that is delivered directly to their hotel room. Useful items you will want to include would be tourist maps, sunglasses, hats, disposable cameras and brochures of fun places they could visit while in the area. You could also toss in a few suggestions for local eateries and cafes.

If you and your fiance can keep the focus on your priorities, then you will have an easier time with planning your wedding and may even enjoy it. By planning a wedding together, a couple can learn about the fundamental elements that are needed to build a life of wedded bliss together. The suggestions you’ve read will help you to build the wedding of your dreams, but can also help your marriage get off to a wonderful start.

Oscar Nominees Featured in Time Magazine's 2013 Great Performers Issue

Posted Thursday February 7, 2013 7:58 PM GMT

They are never ones to shine away from the spotlight, and now Oscar-nominees including Amy Adams, Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts, and Jessica Chastain scored themselves a feature in Time magazine.

While posing for the fashionable Paola Kudacki spread, the A-list celebrities gathered together to discuss their roles and the tutoring they learned in their critically-acclaimed film.

Below are a few highlights from the actors’ interviews. For everything the celebrity highlights, be sure to pay a visit to Time , and don’t forget to watch the Oscars on February 24th!

Amy Adams – Peggy Dodd in “The Master”
On understanding her character’s responsibility in “The Master”:
“Women were given responsibility in wartime, and then it was back to the kitchen and take care of your man. It was a real interesting time for women. The perception of what was available in that era was so different.”

Anne Hathaway – Fantine in “Les Misérables”
On trying to appreciate everything in her life since “Les Misérables”:
“As a woman born in 1982, I take for granted so many freedoms that Fantine wouldn’t even dream of.”

Hugh Jackman – Jean Valjean in “Les Misérables”
On discovering what it was love to be imprisoned:
“What was fascinating what jail was like and what the purpose of jail was because we have this modern notion that this is place of rehabilitation and ideally people can come back to society they were rehabilitated and that was not the case back then. One of Victor Hugo’s [Author; Les Misérables] main themes is how hard and wasteful the jail system was. The goal wasn’t to turn you out rehabilitated. The goal was to turn you out an animal.”

Naomi Watts – Maria Belon in “The Impossible”
On the responsibility of playing a real life character:
“Given the level of suffering that Maria went through and her family I felt this huge responsibility for not just but because so many lives were lost, so many people were effected by this tsunami so she is one small piece in this giant puzzle. Maria and I created this fantastic relationship that was very close and she was very articulate, you know when someone goes through this level of suffering and shock you don’t know how open they are. sometimes it shuts people down and makes it hard to talk about it. But she was just so expressive and so detailed in everything she went through. And everything she did go through is, blow by blow, what’s up there on the screen.”

Jessica Chastain – Maya in “Zero Dark Thirty”
On working in theater vs. film :
“Right now I’m doing ‘The Heiress’ and it’s a 900 seat house, the performance is very different from what it would be if we were making a film of it. In film, you can think the thoughts and the camera is an extension of your soul so you see it. But in theater you have to make sure the person way in the back is able to see it. so this means you have to highten your stakes and make it more important because then it looks more visible.”

How To Choose A Tasty Wedding Menu

Your wedding day should be a joyous occasion for everyone involved. The following tips will help you make sure that your wedding is a wonderful event that you will remember fondly.

To make your wedding unforgettable, plan some activities for your guests. Avoid having everyone sit in boredom waiting for your wedding ceremony to be over. You can fill the event with a variety of activities, from volleyball to contests. The more fun your guests have, the better the entire event will be for everyone.

A fun way to add a personal touch to your wedding is to ask a friend or family member to officiate the ceremony. While having someone special officiate makes the ceremony truly yours, it also has the additional perk of allowing you to redirect the money for something else, such as flowers. Always consult your local laws to ensure that this is legal, and be sure to get the right paperwork and accreditation in order.

TIP! Consider silk flowers for your wedding instead of spending a lot of money on luxurious floral arrangements. Since they can be chosen months in advance, you won’t have to worry about their freshness, which will be one less thing to worry about as your big day approaches.

Your plans for a wedding outside should always include a solid backup plan, in case it rains, or other unforeseen problems occur. Either find a venue with an inside area, or rent some tents in case of bad weather. You might also think about putting wood planks down to prevent guests from stepping in mud caused by rain.

As you begin to plan your wedding, make a prioritized list of your wants. For some people, the flowers top the list while others consider the venue or the cake more important than a guest list. This will help you put your priorities first on your budget and the optional things can be worked out if the budget allows.

The photos taken during your wedding are important as you’ll look at these a lot of times during your lifetime. Make sure that you hire a professional photographer and spend a little extra money on this if you have to so that you can document your experience wonderfully.

TIP! You may decide to go with a boldly colored wedding cake which can function as the main centerpiece at the reception. In that case, consider placing a swatch of color-coordinated fabric beneath the cake.

Credit Card

Try getting a credit card that has some reward points before buying anything for your event. Since weddings can be very expensive, having a credit card that gives you miles or other great deals is essential. You’ll be swimming in rewards in no time if the card is the main source of payment.

If you have plenty of extra time but not a lot of extra money, then consider printing your own wedding invitations. When it comes to printing your own invitations, there are many options available including invitation kits. These kits often include the card stock and envelops. Invitation kits often allow you to select such things as ink, wording and fonts.

TIP! If you are hosting a destination wedding, your guests may appreciate receiving a basket of vacation goodies in their room on their arrival. Include useful items like sunglasses, a hat, tourist map, pamphlets and a disposable camera.

If you fail to plan, your wedding could be an unmitigated disaster. By following the tips we present here, you can make good plans, and create a beautiful wedding day.

Hamill: 'I hate bike lanes.'

Spencer Platt

The path to motorist hell is paved with excellent intentions. Bicycle lanes throughout the city draw chagrin from drivers, who have seen their roadways squeezed to create more room for cyclists.

I despise bike lanes.

I understand quality-of-life issues seem Junior in a city shredded by Hurricane Sandy, bleeding from handguns, dispossessed by an insensible NYCHA and endangered by disappearing hospitals.

But New Yorkers can handle major crises. It's the little, annoying, frustrating things that guide them NUTS.

Bike lanes are steering some person’s love me to mainline anger. For me, more than either other of Big Brother Bloomberg's paternal edicts, these bike lanes are infuriating because they have disfigured the city in a logistical and aesthetic way.

When I was a kid, I built my first bike from assorted discarded portions mined from the wood bins of our tenement in Brooklyn.

RELATED: PROSPECT PARK BIKE LANE FOES PEDAL CASE BACK INTO COURT

It looked love Bozo the Clown's bike. But I taught myself to ride in Prospect Park, taking several difficult falls long before bike helmets were even made, never mind made mandatory.

A few scraped knees later, I was zooming along Prospect Park West from Grand Army Plaza to Bartel -Pritchard Square.

Soon I was hired as a butcher's delivery boy, and I pushed an industrial bike with a basket sometimes filled with more than 100 pounds of meat to homes from Flatbush Ave. to Green-Wood Cemetery .

I learned a lifelong work ethic on that bike. I fought for my place in my city in the clanking, horn-blaring urban transfer. We didn't need no stinking bicycle lanes. We blazed our own trails.

Anyway, I was driving my wagon recently along Prospect Park West, once a majestic three-lane, mile-long esplanade from one war memorial to the other. Now it's love squeezing yourself through a crinkled tube of toothpaste.

RELATED: CITI BIKE PROGRAM POSTPONED TILL MAY

The yuppie-ki-yay bike lane, where kids dressed love hockey goalies pedal in a danger-emancipate fantasy lane, has literally painted wagon transfer into two lanes.

If you hit the game of chance and see 10 feet of emancipate celestial in the parking lane, you can no longer employ the curb to guide your parallel parking. No, the curb is introverted as a barrier reef for the Hipster Highway for Richie Rich on his $1,500 Lance Armstrong Doperacer.

Same thing in Manhattan. Sheltered, helmeted kids getting zeroes in street-smarts pedal past with a clear path through life.

News flash: Life ain't a smooth sail, kiddos! There's a big crash just waiting at the end of every bike lane.

The first mayoral candidate who wants to hit the brakes on bike lanes can ride on my handlebars.
