Call anywhere in the world with Viber iPhone app (Appolicious)

Appolicious - I wasn't sure about Viber when I first heard of it. The app claims free calls to any iPhone user anywhere in the world as long as the other person has Viber, as well. Not so fast. Doesn't AT&T allow you to talk to five friends, free, so why bother with Viber?
