Japan disaster continues to curb auto production (AP)

AP - Here are the latest developments in the auto industry following Japan's March 11 earthquake and tsunami. The disaster and nuclear crisis have shut plants and delayed shipments of parts and cars around the world. Japan's daily auto production has fallen by about 37,000 vehicles, says Scotiabank Senior Economist Carlos Gomes. Through Thursday, he estimates Japan has lost production of more than 500,000 vehicles.
